The CHI Center conducts collaborative research and development that contributes to our understanding of disease prevention and the promotion of the health of individuals, families and communities. To attain these goals, we are committed to integrating research, teaching and patient care.
Our projects, including cross-cutting initiatives, advance community health and integrated, personalized health care. We work to assess and address contextual factors that result in a wide range of effects related to health inequities while focusing on specific problems and strengths based solutions. This research aims to shed light on the complex ways diverse factors interact to affect the health of people and populations.
