Karen is a graduate of the Mandel School PhD program (2013). At Mandel, she works in the Office of Educational Outcomes Assessment, collaborates on several research projects, and serves as methodological/statistical consultant to the PhD program. Dr. Ishler also works for the CWRU Office of Interprofessional and Interdisciplinary Education and Research (OIIER). She helps to direct the evaluation of OIIER, including an innovative program that brings together teams of early learners in the health professions (e.g., Medicine, Dental Medicine, Nursing, Social Work, Genetic Counseling) to complete projects that address specific needs identified by local nonprofit organizations.. Her primary research interests include family caregiving and the physical and mental well-being of older couples.
