The faculty of the Department of Neurology cares for patients with a spectrum of neurologic disorders, from routine outpatient conditions to life-threatening disorders which require an intensive care unit and around-the-clock monitoring.
Outpatient Consultations
Outpatient consultations are available for general neurologic problems as well as for specific subspeciality disorders. Subspecialty divisions in the Department of Neurology include:

Neurologic Diagnostic Testing
Diagnostic testing is available through the Department of Neurology. Electroencephalography (EEG) for the evaluation of possible seizures is performed at the University Hospitals - Cleveland Medical Center, Bolwell 2nd Floor. Testing can be scheduled by calling 216.844.3199.
Electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies (NCS) for the evaluation of nerve and muscles disorders are performed at several locations, including the University Hospitals - Cleveland Medical Center, Bolwell 5th Floor; University Suburban Health Center; Chagrin Highlands Medical Center and the Westlake Health Center. Testing at all locations can be scheduled by calling 216.844.1923.

Hospital Admissions
Patients on the Neurology Service at Cleveland Medical Center of University Hospitals are most often admitted to the fourth floor of Lerner Tower. The Neurocritical Care Unit is also located on Lerner Tower 4. Neurologic patients may also be admitted to other Tower floors or to the Lakeside building.
