Dr. Joseph C. Maroon, Clinical Professor and Vice Chairman and Heindl Scholar in Neuroscience, Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center was the Visiting Professor in the Department of Neurological Surgery on Wednesday, August 16th. He gave two lectures: “Past, Present and Future of Concussions and CTE” and “From Burnout to Wellness – A Resident’s Guide to a Balanced Life.” In addition to being an accomplished neurosurgeon, Dr. Maroon, has completed eight Ironman competitions and published a book entitled, “Square One: A Simple Guide to a Balanced Life.”
