A New Connection between Medical Education and the Cleveland Schools

Students from CSSM give a tour to PA students from CWRU SOM.

The Cleveland School of Science and Medicine, one of the innovative programs in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, hosted the first year class of 36 physician assistants from the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine on Thursday, October 25th, 2018.  Members of the high school's Health Profession Pipeline Program (H3P) club hosted the PA students and showed them a day in the life of a high school student in Cleveland.  The ultimate goal of the event was to encourage a connection between the two institutions that would broaden the high school students' exposure to the field of medicine, while grounding the experience of the PA students' in the community in which they serve and are being educated.
