Case Western Reserve University’s open access (OA) publishing agreement with Wiley through OhioLINK has reached its annual limits. APC coverage is no longer available under the Wiley agreement in 2026. Due to changes in Wiley's procedures, this process differs from previous years:
- For Wiley’s fully OA journals (publish only open access articles): New requests for APC coverage cannot be approved. Corresponding authors are responsible for payment of the APC. If authors do not wish to pay an APC, they may choose to withdraw their article and publish elsewhere.
- For Wiley’s hybrid journals (publish open and subscription access articles): Authors may choose to publish open access by paying the APC with a 10% discount, or avoid paying the APC by choosing to publish as subscription access.
