Rooms to Let: CLE

Sept. 6-7

Rooms to Let: CLE brings life to abandoned spaces. Now in its 11th year, the Rooms to Let: CLE transforms blighted areas in Cleveland into an art exhibition featuring more than 30 years. This year focuses on outdoor spaces—vacant lots, gardens and other spaces—in the Broadway Historic District Sept. 6 and 7 from noon to 6 p.m. each day.

While enjoying the art, attendees can listen to live music, stop by an artist market, grab something to eat from food trucks and more.

Ahead of the event, community members can take part in street cleanups in the area to further the beautification efforts.

Ohio Space Week

Sept. 8-13

Celebrate Ohio’s aerospace legacy with Ohio Space Week in September. Beginning Sept. 8–10 with the American Aeronautical Society Glenn Space Technology Symposium held here on campus, the week will feature a range of activities for scientists and the general public.

The Space Happy Hour at the Jolly Scholar on Sept. 10 will give members of the community the chance to meet with individuals in the space industry. A student registration option is available and does not include drink tickets.

The week will continue with the Ohio Space Forum Sept. 11. This event will bring together leaders from the federal, military, industry, and academic sectors.

Finally, the event will conclude with NASA Discovery Days Sept. 12–13 at the Great Lakes Science Center. This event is an opportunity to learn about the work happening at the NASA Glenn Research Center, hear from astronauts and take part in immersive experiences.
