Animals are reaching the limit of heat tolerance
The Atlantic: Sarah Diamond, associate professor of biology, commented on how a rapidly warming climate may affect animals—even those that appear to evolve quickly, such as the ants living inside acorns that she has documented for many years. On the other hand, animals are often “fine, fine, fine, and then boom, not fine,” Diamond said, noting that the end result is “a really strong crash.”
