Psychological sciences’ Rita Obeid studies fine motor skills in individuals with developmental dyslexia
Rita Obeid, PhD, assistant professor in the Department of Psychological Sciences at the College of Arts and Science, recently authored a paper published in the Journal of Speech, Language, and Hearing Research.
Titled “Impaired Fine Motor Skills in Developmental Dyslexia: A Bayesian Meta-Analysis of 5 Decades of Research,” her paper revealed research findings of her study using meta-analysis to examine whether individuals with dyslexia show differences in motor skills when compared to age-matched individuals with neurotypical development. Obeid also explored possible moderators of effects.
