Case Western Reserve University named recipient of The Electrochemical Society’s 2025 Outstanding Student Chapter Award

Last month, Case Western Reserve University received The Electrochemical Society’s (ECS) 2025 Outstanding Student Chapter Award—formerly known as the Gwendolyn B. Wood Section Excellence Award. 

Established in 2012, this $1000 award recognizes distinguished student chapters that:

  • Demonstrate active participation in The Electrochemical Society’s technical activities;
  • Establish community and outreach activities in the areas of electrochemical and solid state science and engineering education; 
  • Support ECS’s mission to advance theory and practice at the forefront of electrochemical and solid state science and technology; and, 
  • Create and maintain a robust membership base.
