CWRU’s Sofia Castro receives 2025 SACNAS NDiSTEM Student Presentation award
Sofia Castro, a Case Western Reserve University student pursuing a bachelor’s in cognitive science and a Master of Public Health, recently received an Undergraduate Poster Presentation Award: Life Sciences, Physiology/Pathology award at the 2025 Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics & Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) NDiSTEM Conference. During this event, SACNAS recognized more than 70 undergraduate and graduate students for demonstrating outstanding research and presentation skills.
The 2025 SACNAS NDiSTEM Conference, held in Columbus from Oct. 30 to Nov. 1, was a gathering of more than 2,200 students and professionals. Taking place over three days, the conference showcased 656 undergraduate and graduate student presentations and offered scientific symposia, keynote addresses, and professional development sessions.
