Crain's Cleveland Business: Aaron Weinberg, professor at the School of Dental Medicine, said the goal of a new research project is to turn sophisticated lab testing into a simple, affordable chairside device that can reliably determine whether suspicious oral lesions need biopsies. CWRU received nearly $3 million to develop the rapid oral-swab test, which could reduce unnecessary biopsies and improve early oral cancer detection.
