Erinn Enany, a third-year student at the School of Dental Medicine, won the American Dental Association’s Health Literacy Essay Contest. Her essay, titled “Small Smiles: What You Need to Know About Baby Teeth,” communicated to new parents what baby teeth are for and how to take care of them.
The essay contest challenges dental students to communicate dental topics in clear and accessible language. Enany’s first-place prize was an iPad.
