In an effort to increase protection and security, the Information Security Office (ISO) is implementing the use of Duo two-factor authentication for Case Western Reserve University users of the HCM and FIN applications.
Through Feb. 4, users may opt in to use Duo by registering at the self-service enrolling site. Learn more at case.edu/utech/information-security/.
On Monday, Feb. 5, logging in to HCM and FIN will officially require Duo Security, and un-enrolled users will be prompted to enroll in Duo when attempting to log in.
What is two-factor authentication?
Two-factor authentication offers an additional security measure to verify your identity in addition to your network ID and password/phrase. Duo Security provides a unique code generated by the Duo Mobile app on your smartphone as the “second factor” (other code-receiving methods also are available).Training sessions
ISO staff members are available to help you learn about and enroll in Duo. Training/enrollment sessions will be held:- Thursday, Jan. 18, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in Crawford Hall, Room 720;
- Thursday, Jan. 25, from 10:30 a.m. to noon in Adelbert Hall’s Toepfer Room; and
