WKYC: Kathryn Daltorio, associate professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering, said she hopes her crablike robots will someday be able to "put your hands in places you don't want to go." The robots could reach underwater areas too dangerous or difficult for humans, such as maintenance on offshore energy platforms and underwater pipelines.
