Two Case Western Reserve University faculty members presented data and expert testimony to the Cleveland City Council to aid in their decision on the sale of tobacco products.
The city passed legislation Dec. 7 to ban the sale of tobacco products and e-cigarettes to people under 21 years old.
In the weeks leading up to the decision, Erika Trapl, associate director of the Prevention Research Center for Healthy Neighborhoods and assistant professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, and Scott Frank, associate professor of epidemiology and biostatistics, provided insight.
