The School of Graduate Studies’ Professional Development Center will hold a workshop for students who are working on their dissertation Wednesday, Jan. 6, from 8:30 a.m. to noon in the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Community Studies Center.
Writing a dissertation can be a very challenging, yet exciting time. The center developed a workshop, titled “Where do I Begin? A Practical Workshop for Beginning (and Finishing) Your Dissertation,” to answer many of the questions students may have as they navigate through this process.
The session will include presentations on topics such as time commitment, data ownership, publications, motivation, writer’s block, keeping a positive mindset and more tips. The following groups will be represented at the session:

Enrollment is limited, so those who plan to attend should register online by Jan. 4.
