Get your syllabus ready for fall with UCITE's Summer Syllabus Sessions

Whether you’re refreshing a familiar course or building a brand-new one from the ground up, now is the perfect time to get some pedagogical support.

The University Center for Innovation in Teaching and Education (UCITE) at Case Western Reserve is offering individual pre-semester syllabus consultations to help faculty and staff members craft syllabi that can be used as a teaching tool, while also being accessible and student-friendly.

In this one-on-one session, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Polish and update existing syllabi;
  • Build a strong foundation for new ones;
  • Refine course goals and policies (including your AI policy);
  • Clarify expectations in accessible, welcoming language;
  • Ensure alignment between assignments and learning outcomes;
  • Add engaging, transparent elements to support student success, and more.

These sessions can take place in-person at a venue of your choosing, or via Zoom. After the initial session, additional times can be scheduled as needed.
