Graduate Student Appreciation Week is March 30-April 3
This year’s Graduate Student Appreciation Week events will take place next week, March 30 through April 3.
Dear Graduate and Professional Students,
Graduate Student Appreciation Week, hosted by the Office of Graduate Student Life, is an opportunity for our university community to recognize and celebrate the important contributions that graduate students make to research, teaching, and service across our campus. This year’s Graduate Student Appreciation Week events will take place next week, March 30 through April 3. During our bicentennial year, this recognition feels especially meaningful.
Your work advances knowledge, supports undergraduate education, and strengthens the intellectual life of our institution. Whether you are conducting research, assisting in classrooms, collaborating across disciplines, or engaging with the broader community, your efforts are essential to our mission.
Graduate study requires dedication, curiosity, and resilience. We deeply appreciate the commitment you bring to your academic and professional development, as well as the impact you have on the university and beyond.
Throughout the week, we encourage you to take part in some of the many events happening across campus—opportunities to connect with your peers, build community, and celebrate your accomplishments. We also hope you will take a moment to reflect on your progress and the important work you are doing. At the same time, we are encouraging departments, faculty, and staff to take time to acknowledge the achievements and contributions of our graduate and professional students.
Thank you for everything you contribute to our academic community. We are proud to support you and look forward to the discoveries, scholarship, and leadership that will continue to emerge from your work.
Sincerely,
Joy K. Ward
