Ohio's forgotten Black cemeteries hold rich history of the state's pioneers
The Ohio Newsroom: Noël Voltz, assistant professor of history at the College of Arts and Sciences, said that neglect of Black burial sites is widespread, highlighting unmarked cemeteries in Ohio. Preserving them respects the dignity of those buried and prevents the erasure of Black history and community heritage, she added.
