Important update on fall wellness activities

Each fall for the past 12 years, benefits-eligible faculty and staff at the university have been encouraged to complete three wellness activities to become eligible for a monthly incentive the following calendar year. Enrollment in one of the university’s medical plans is necessary. This fall, a change in those activities will be implemented due to current budget constraints. The Wellness Program will no longer offer biometric screenings through Quest Diagnostics. If you have been a regular participant in the biometric screening process at the university, this is a good time to call your primary care provider to schedule an appointment for a screening (as well as an annual exam if you haven’t had one yet this year).

In lieu of offering biometric screening on campus this fall, the Wellness Program will offer a Biometric Screening Attestation Form as one optional Wellness Incentive activity. A Dental Check-up and/or Cancer Screening Attestation Form will be available to complete in addition to the Primary Care Provider and Tobacco Attestation Forms, which have been used for many years. Further details on the fall wellness activities will be shared in the Wellness newsletter and The Daily.

All current participants in the Omada Health program, which has been available to qualified individuals found to be at risk of metabolic syndrome following a Quest biometric screening, will retain access to the program for the full year following their start date.
