International Student Success Series: University History & Traditions

Case Western Reserve’s history forms what the university is today. So how does CWRU fit into the context of American university traditions? What is homecoming, and what happens on CWRU’s campus during the event? What about Greek Week, commencement or the Hudson Relays? Learn about CWRU’s longstanding history and traditions—and what these traditions mean in broader U.S. culture—with Dick Baznik, university historian. This event, part of the International Student Success Series, will be held Wednesday, Oct. 5, from 1 to 2 p.m. in Sears Building 464. It is presented by the Office of Leadership and Student Experience.

About the International Student Success Series

The International Student Success Series is an extension of orientation programming and is designed to help international students transition and better understand the social and academic culture at CWRU. Each topic is designed to incorporate important life skills taught by knowledgeable trainers from across campus or from the community. Sessions are held every Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Educational Services for Students (Sears 464). All events are free and include food. Some will require registration.
