Join the Charity Choice Campaign: Make a Difference in Our Community

Case Western Reserve University’s annual Charity Choice campaign is back, giving faculty and staff the chance to support causes that strengthen our community—both on campus and across Greater Cleveland. This year’s campaign begins today and runs through Friday, Dec. 12.

“Charity Choice is more than just a giving campaign,” says Provost and Executive Vice President Joy K. Ward. “It’s an opportunity for us to show care for one another, to support our neighbors, and to reinforce the values that make Case Western Reserve a strong, compassionate community.”

Through Charity Choice, employees can donate to any 501(c)(3) agency of their choice, touching areas including education, healthcare, housing, human services, and more.
New this year, participants can also direct donations to two programs that support our campus community:

  • Student Emergency Fund, which provides short-term financial assistance to students facing unforeseen crises that could otherwise interrupt their studies.
  • CWRU Community Pantry, which offers free access to perishable and shelf-stable foods, hygiene items, and cleaning supplies to all members of the university community and local community in Cleveland.

“These programs reflect the heart of what we do at Case Western Reserve,” said Provost Ward, “Caring for one another and ensuring that every member of our community has the support they need to thrive.”

To participate, simply log in to HCM (under the “Payroll” tile) to make your pledge, or visit case.edu/charitychoice to explore giving options and learn more about featured organizations, including United Way of Greater Cleveland and EarthShare

Together, the CWRU community can make a lasting impact—supporting students, neighbors, and organizations that make our region stronger.
