Ohio justices' opioid ruling shows deals were based on 'nothing'
Bloomberg LawAndrew Pollis, professor of law, described the Ohio Supreme Court's ruling that reshapes Ohio's opioid litigation landscape as a “gamble that paid off,” eradicating a legal principle underpinning opioid settlements. “The whole settlement is built on what might be a foundation of nothing,” Pollis said.
