Gerhart Distinguished Research Scholar at the School of Law, said some TikTok scams are hard to stop because fraudsters can easily repost under new accounts. "Ultimately, Ohio has worked to make sure they have the proper laws on the books, and they're actually enforcing those laws (and adding new ones) to make the internet as safe as possible," Chaffee said. "But, usually, it's not a matter of there not being enough laws. It's preventing fraud before it happens."
