Medical marijuana laws: What you need to know

WebMD: Jonathan Adler, the Johan Verheij Memorial Professor of Law, said that the U.S. government’s position on pot has not changed much since the 1930s. “It is illegal to purchase, possess, consume, or sell marijuana as far as federal law is concerned,” said Adler, who’s also the author of Marijuana Federalism: Uncle Sam and Mary Jane, a book about marijuana laws in the United States.
