Brennan Professor Emeritus of Law and adjunct professor of political science, opined that the city of Columbus would face challenges should it follow through on a plan to outlaw guns based on the idea of labeling gun violence a public nuisance. “This isn’t some bizarre, outlandish legal theory,” he said. “I’m just saying, from where I sit, I think Columbus will have a hard time winning if they pursue this nuisance theory.”
