Law's Jonathan Entin weighs in on limits to presidential authority under the Commerce Clause

How the Trump administration could attack state laws it says stifle US economy

Yahoo Finance: Jonathan Entin, the David L. Brennan Professor Emeritus of Law, said the Commerce Clause doesn’t give the president authority to strike down state laws. "It's not clear to me that Congress can use its commerce power to preempt the state's exercise of their police powers, even if state laws may, in fact, be unwise or even foolish,” Entin said.
