MoneyGeek: Juscelino Colares, the Schott-van den Eynden Professor of Law, said that, generally, people know that renters insurance is more affordable than regular homeowners insurance. “But if price-shopping for renters insurance from well-known and respected companies and other less well-known companies reveals major discrepancies, then much ‘cheaper’ in relative comparisons should raise red flags,” he said.
