What to do if you’re arrested abroad
The Washington PostMichael Benza, senior instructor of law, offered some tips for those arrested in another country. Chief among them: Reach out to your consulate. “Usually, this means that the arresting state will call the consulate and let the home state know the person is under arrest,” he said.
