WEWS: Raymond Ku, the John Homer Kapp Professor of Law at the School of Law, said private employers and employees aren’t covered by the First Amendment, so “private individuals, private entities aren’t subject to” free‐speech protections in those settings. He also warned that when criticism turns into threats or pressure to silence, it can chill public discourse.
