Burke Chair in Environmental Law and associate director of the Burke Center for Environmental Law, said a judge’s decision to let Texas and other states’ antitrust suit against BlackRock, Vanguard and State Street proceed doesn’t prove wrongdoing but signals courts may view net-zero collaborations as potentially anti-competitive. Flatt noted it raises caution for joint greenhouse gas reduction efforts.
