Mathematics’ Elisabeth Werner selected as a 2026 Simons Fellow in Mathematics
Elisabeth Werner, professor in the Department of Mathematics, Applied Mathematics and Statistics at Case Western Reserve University, was recently selected as a 2026 Simons Fellow in Mathematics.
Funded by the Simons Foundation’s Mathematics and Physical Sciences division, individuals part of this fellowship receive funding to make sabbatical or equivalent research leaves more productive by extending them from a single term to a full academic year. Sabbatical research leaves provide mathematicians with opportunities for intellectual stimulation and collaboration that foster innovative research.
