Medicine’s Margaret Larkins-Pettigrew pens piece about inequities highlighted by recent events

In a piece published on cleveland.com, Margaret Larkins-Pettigrew, the director and Edgar B. Jackson Jr. Endowed Chair in Clinical Excellence & Diversity at the School of Medicine, discussed the devastation wrought by COVID-19 as well as inequities in access to opportunity and health care that recent events have highlighted.

“However, we are reassured and energized by recent actions taken to respond to these crises by Cleveland City Council,” she said in the piece, titled “By acting to address health equity, Cleveland City Council helps us all live healthier lives: Margaret Larkins-Pettigrew.”
