Megan McNamara, MD, professor of medicine at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, was named one of the newest editors-in-chief for SGIM Forum.
This forum offers articles, essays, thought pieces and editorials that:
- Reflect on healthcare trends;
- Report on Society of General Internal Medicine activities; and
- Explore important issues for general internists in U.S. healthcare and globally.
Beginning with the August 2026 issue, McNamara will serve a three-year editorial term in her role.
McNamara has been a member of the Society of General Internal Medicine for more than two decades and previously served as an SGIM Forum associate editor for three years. She also chaired the Women and Medicine Commission and the Career Advising Program.
