Parameswaran Ramakrishnan, associate professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, recently shared a personal reflection on the late David Baltimore—American biologist and former president of the California Institute of Technology.
Ramakrishnan’s article, titled “An Era Ended, But the Legacy Lingers On: A Personal Reflection on Dr. David Baltimore,” was published in Pathogens and Immunity earlier this month.
In the reflection, Ramakrishnan recounted his journey as Baltimore’s postdoctoral trainee and highlighted his contributions to modern biology, which spans more than six decades and shapes the fields of virology, immunology, biochemistry and molecular biology.
