Nature: Rachel Pope, associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the School of Medicine, explained how the the long-term effects of starting menopausal hormone therapy in perimenopause remain understudied. “I can tell you these treatments are helping my patients relieve their symptoms. But I can’t tell you from our current data what that means several decades from now," said Pope.
