Med's Darcy Freedman comments on Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio

How Franklin County is cutting back on the 1 million pounds of food wasted every day
The Columbus DispatchDarcy Freedman, the Swetland Professor in Environmental Health Sciences at the School of Medicine, commented on how the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio is drastically reducing the amount of waste that ends up in landfills in Franklin County (Columbus)—by about half. And much of that is food. “A lot of the waste comes from inefficiencies in the system,” she said.
