cleveland.comRyan Marino, associate professor at the School of Medicine and a medical toxicologist, weighed in on the fears some have that recreational marijuana could lead to more workplace injuries and make the current labor shortage worse. “A urine drug test does not show if someone is intoxicated or impaired from using cannabis,” he said. “And while the tests are used for worker’s compensation claims, they aren’t used in legal cases because of their limitations.”
