Black, Hispanic people with epilepsy often miss out on latest meds
U.S. News & World ReportWyatt Bensken, adjunct assistant professor at the School of Medicine, commented on his new study showing that Black or Hispanic American adults who have epilepsy are are less likely than white adults to be prescribed the latest medications. “These results show that a sizable proportion of people may not be on an optimal treatment regimen, and the differences appear to reflect clear racial and ethnic inequities in care,” he said.
