A Message from the Chair of the Master of Nonprofit Organizations Program

Current times show us that nonprofit management education has never been more vital. Nonprofit leaders face increasingly turbulent times, and their organizations are vulnerable to many risks. Yet, good leaders can successfully navigate these times and help their nonprofits to demonstrate resilience even in the face of challenges.

At the Mandel School, we have a longstanding commitment to equipping emerging nonprofit leaders with the tools and skills to help them serve in these challenging environments. In the MNO and CNM programs we prepare students for these roles so they can contribute to a nonprofit sector that is resilient, accountable, and impactful. Nonprofit management education stands at a crossroads: its experiential, mission-driven foundation is strong, but its long-term value depends on the agility, inclusivity, and vision of our graduates. By balancing metrics with mission, we will shape a more resilient and equitable nonprofit sector built for today’s needs but ready for tomorrow’s unknowns.

August 2024–May 2025 Graduates Inducted into Nu Lambda Mu

Nu Lambda Mu is the Nonprofit Academic Centers Council’s (NACC) international honor society recognizing students dedicated to the study of nonprofit management, philanthropy and social entrepreneurship/enterprise. According to NACC, Case Western Reserve has more alumni in Nu Lambda Mu than any other university.
