Business Insider: Carol Musil, the Edward J. and Louise Mellen Professor of Nursing at Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, said children raised by grandparents after adversity face greater physical, developmental and behavioral risks, while caregiving grandparents—especially grandmothers—often experience poorer physical health, higher stress and more depressive symptoms than their peers.
