What happens to your gut health when you eat wild blueberries regularly

Verywell Health: Lindsay Malone, registered dietitian and instructor in the Department of Nutrition, noted that wild blueberries may support gut health more than cultivated ones because they contain higher soluble fiber and antioxidant levels. Malone said fiber promotes short-chain fatty acids that support the gut barrier and reduce inflammation. She added wild blueberries have more anthocyanins, which act as antioxidants and prebiotics feeding beneficial gut bacteria, though regular blueberries remain a healthy choice.
