Office of Energy and Sustainability names 2025 winners of the CWRU Unplugged Residence Hall Energy Contest
Each year, Case Western Reserve University’s Office of Energy and Sustainability hosts its CWRU Unplugged Residence Hall Energy Contest, which challenges residence halls and Greek houses to reduce their energy usage and offers winners a pizza party prize.
During the contest, points were also awarded to halls whose residents signed a sustainability pledge for reducing waste or attended sustainability events.
The overall winners of this year’s competition were Village House 1 and 2, whose residents reduced their energy consumption by 54.35% and Phi Sigma Rho with a 22.97% reduction.
