Participate in the UN Sustainable Solutions Design Network University Competition
Case Western Reserve University will participate in the fifth edition of the “Universities for Goal 13” competition—the only university in the nation invited to take part. Sponsored by the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Solutions Network, this annual competition challenges students to develop innovative solutions to combat climate change and its impacts.
Open to all CWRU students, this global initiative offers participants the opportunity to:
- Contribute to and advance the United Nations Sustainability Design Goal 13;
- Receive mentorship from top staff at Siemens Energy; and
- Win a $10,000 award and a trip to New York.
Those interested in participating are invited to submit an application—which includes short descriptions of the project, methodology and design goals—no later than Wednesday, Dec. 10.
To request an application form, contact Jonathan Steirer, interim director of the Great Lakes Energy Institute, at jonathan.steirer@case.edu.
