Al Jazeera: Justin Buchler, associate professor of political science, discussed Republican Mike Pence’s chances for the 2024 presidential election. “Pence, as a religious conservative, shored up (former President Donald) Trump’s weaknesses with some of the religious conservatives in the country,” he said. “And being a governor, he assuaged some of the fears of the Chamber of Commerce types who just wanted to make sure that everything would be a little bit more stable.”
