This past March, Kathryn C. Lavelle, PhD, the Ellen and Dixon Long Professor in World Affairs in the Department of Political Science at the College of Arts and Sciences, was featured as a panelist at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) discussion on Strategic Frontiers in U.S. Foreign Policy: Artic, Climate and Space.

Moderated by Esther Brimmer, the James J. Binger Senior Fellow in Global Governance at CFR, the event also featured insight from: 

  • Nina M. Armagno, retired lieutenant general in the U.S. Space Force and cochair of the CFR Task Force on Securing Space; and
  • Todd Eisenstadt, professor and research director of the Center for Environmental Policy at American University
