Political science's Kathryn Lavelle examines strategic and economic value of the Arctic region
Kathryn C. Lavelle, the Ellen and Dixon Long Professor in World Affairs in the Department of Political Science at the College of Arts and Sciences—examined the strategic and economic value of the vast Arctic region theis month’s Cleveland Committee on Foreign Relations meeting.
In her presentation, titled “Reluctant Conquest: America's Relationship with the Arctic,” she outlined the history of the U.S. in the region and why Ohioans should be paying attention to the future of Arctic engagement.
