Program Rewarding Innovation in STEM Entrepreneurship (PRISE) Weekend Conference
The Flora Stone Mather Center for Women will be offering a two-day conference which will introduce you to many of the key concepts in entrepreneurship, especially as it pertains to STEM fields. Throughout the weekend, you will learn about how to identify a problem and brainstorm a solution, identify customers and complete a value proposition matrix, and finally, identify possible sources of startup funding, prepare a pitch and launch your idea. Sessions will be offered by guest experts in entrepreneurship, as well as established local entrepreneurs, and you will have opportunities to network with both these individuals and your fellow CWRU students as potential team members for future ideas.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided both days, as well as an hors d'oeuvres networking reception on Saturday; attendance at both days of the conference is expected. Successful completion of the program will make students eligible for future small grant seed funding to pursue a project.
This event will be held on Saturday, Feb. 28, through Sunday, March 1, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Tinkham Veale University Center, Ballroom C.
