Save the date for course registration

STORY BY: EDITORIAL STAFF

You may have noticed that a registration advising hold was recently added to your account in Student Information System (SIS). This is related to course registration for the spring 2026 semester.

Registration for the spring 2026 semester for first-year undergraduates begins Friday, Nov. 21, at 7 a.m. This information is also listed in SIS in the Classes & Enrollment tile.

You can now begin searching and adding courses to your shopping cart in SIS for this spring.  Please note that not all courses are available yet and more will be added throughout this month.

Prior to registration, you should meet with your pre-major advisor (before major declaration) or major advisor (if you declare, beginning Nov. 1).  After meeting to discuss your spring classes, they will lift your registration advising hold. Four-year advisors cannot release advising holds, but can consult on further course selection questions.

Preparing for your upcoming advising appointments is a great opportunity to use Stellic, the degree-planning tool in SIS, to track completed degree requirements and plan future semesters. Check out the how-to resources on the University Registrar’s Degree Planning for Students page.
